Please pray!

You may remember hearing about Crescent Rainwater, a freshman in Torrey this year who was from Sacramento. Her mom is friends with my sister--they are in a homeschool group together.

Crescent's sister Autumn had been dating a young man, against her parent's wishes. He seemed to be growing a lot, but the family still disapproved. My parents were considered welcoming this young man into our home, as he needed a place to live.

Well, the couple got married this last Thursday. On Friday the young man murdered Autumn. It seems they got in a fight, and he slit her throat with a knife.

Please pray for the Rainwaters, that God covers them in a blanket of his peace that must transcend our understanding! Pray for them as they make funeral arrangements, and face their grief at the tragic loss of their daughter/sister and their reaction to the young man.

Also pray for the friends and family of Autumn and the Rainwaters. The Rainwaters are going to need a sanctuary of God's children to surround them and give them comfort and rest.

This is just crazy to hear. Crazy. I am in shock, and am fairly removed from the situation. My sister was hoping to get to mentor and shepherd this young girl; Debbie is also in shock. It's going to be hard when this hits everyone.
